About the Founder

Hi, my name is Angela. It is lovely to meet you. 

I am the founder of Daramena Botanics. This is my long-time dream come true. Let me tell you a little bit about my journey. 

I was born in the Czech Republic. Throughout my life and through 4 countries I have lived in. I have gathered substantial knowledge about herbs, gardening, and natural self-care. 

Due to busy life and overwhelming changes. I have drifted far away from natural, and genuine practices. 

I started a self-care routine through skincare to manage feeling overwhelmed and anxious. It was wonderful at first. I connected with many like-minded people, by sharing my experience with some skincare products and It didn't take long before I fell into the trap of "shelfies" and the ideology that more is better. My pacifier became another thorn in my heel. What was once keeping me grounded was now causing more anxiety. 

I took a step back. I cleaned out my shelves. I started to look for brands that are more natural, and less polluted by unnecessary chemicals and brainwashing marketing. I started a simpler routine with products full of botanical extracts, and natural ingredients. All seemed to be better until I started to experience sensitivities due to too many essential oils and hidden chemicals.  

I was so tired of this vicious cycle. 

Once again, I dusted off my beakers and my formulating book. I was determined to find time in my busy life and revisit formulations that I used to make, and that many of my friends loved in the past. I wanted to create what I was so desperately yearning for. I wanted to unify all my love and passion for herbal medicine, craftsmanship, and skincare into one and share it with the world. I wanted to be there every step of the way.

That is how Daramena Botanics was born. 

The beginning of DBs herbal garden. One day it will provide most of the resources needed for my creations. 

My brand will stay small, genuine, and full of love for nature. 

Last but never least the story behind my logo. 

This is/was my best friend for almost 20 years. He passed away on January 17th, 2023. I had no idea how much pain his passing would cause. In his honor, I have decided to create my logo based on this picture. 

He was always there, supervising, making sure things were going according to plan, and making sure I was taking enough breaks for cuddles. He will be always present, and always near my heart.
